Why Choose Martin Tennant ?
Would you pay full rate for a trainee?
I am Fully qualified, with years of experience of in-car training.
Will you be the only learner in the car for your entire lesson?
You will be with me. Other schools double up, with 2 or 3 learners in the car, often at the beginning, or at the end of a lesson, or both.
Do you like it when someone serving you leaves you stranded in order to answer a 'phone call?
No? Neither do I! So I switch my mobile to SILENT when I am teaching - for the entire lesson, how many other instructors do that? And if they don't will you be safe?
Will your instructor know what you should be working on next lesson?
I keep detailed notes, and you will keep a driver's record which I will update when appropriate, so we will both know how you are progressing.
Has your instructor got a record of success?
There are PASS RATES and pass rates. My PASS RATE is around 83%, based on the last year of tests, I take learners to test regularly and I don't 'dump' people just before if I think they might fail. I arrange Mock Tests to prepare the customer and measure their ability. The best way to find out whether an instructor is any good is to talk to their customers, past & present. Thinking of learning just 1 hour per week?
Forget it! You won't progress, so sooner or later you will run out of money with very little to show for it. The minimum I offer is 2 hours per week, this may sound like a lot, but in my experience this benefits the learner better.
Intensive, semi intensive, weekly lessons?
The frequency of your lessons will be largely up to you and how full my diary is. Generally the more frequent your lessons the faster you can expect to learn. Also remember, the more lessons you take per week the more it will cost per week.
Want more than 2hrs per day? Think carefully, can you absorb all that information, can you handle the stress (fatigue can retard the learning process)? Expect to have to wait for a driving test, especially in Oxford, 10 weeks is not uncommon.
TOO Expensive?
Why do you want to learn to drive? If it is imperative that you learn does it really matter whether it costs £1175 or £1325? On average a 17yr old might be expected to take around 50 hours to get test ready. Cheapest is rarely best, and will that instructor still be around to take you to test? Will you be properly insured? (Third party liability etc). Will you be safe? How much is your life worth?
So How much do I charge?
I believe I am one of the best teachers you might find in my area. That belief is based on my success rate and what my customers say to me about my teaching. My charges reflect the quality of the tuition and service you will get from me. I need to know several facts about you before I can quote, so I'm sorry but you will have to ring me. I will not quote if I can't help you. Ring me on 078-999-111-22
